Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Elgin County are investigating after the bodies of two people were discovered Wednesday morning south of London.
Emergency services were called to a residence on Roberts Line shortly after 8 a.m. following the discovery, police said in a media statement released Thursday morning.
The death investigation is ongoing, the statement said, and further updates will be provided as they become available.
Investigators believe this is an isolated incident, however OPP is reminding members of the public to be aware of their personal safety at all times.
Roberts Line between Quaker Road and Chestnut Grove Road is currently closed while police investigate. Drivers are asked to find an alternate route.
Members with the Elgin County OPP Crime Unit are investigating the circumstances of the deaths under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
They're being assisted by the OPP West Region Criminal Operations and OPP Forensic Identification Services, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
