Police hope 'extremely distinct' rings will help them identify body discovered under overpass

Calgary police are asking for the public's help after being unable to identify a body located under a southeast overpass this summer.
Police say they were called on Aug. 22 to an overpass in the area of 50th Avenue S.E. and Ogden Road S.E. for a report of human remains.
However, the body had decomposed significantly, and no identification was found.
Investigators said in a release Wednesday they have been unable to identify the individual, but that they're believed to be male and likely homeless.
All traditional identification attempts have since failed, but officers did find three unique rings located on the man.
Police have released images of the rings, and hope that someone may recognize them.
They also have provided descriptions of each one:
"We know that there may be family and friends of this man who have been trying to find him," said Sgt. Martin Schiavetta in a release.
"The rings this man was found with are extremely distinct, and it's likely there is someone out there who will recall seeing them and can help us find closure to this case."
Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact police by calling 403-266-1234 or submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia City Council will hold a special meeting Tuesday morning to respond to social media comments made by Coun. Bill Dennis, who criticized city spending on a new mural by Indigenous artist Kennady Osborne as “virtue signalling by woke politicians” — then made a series of comments in response to a reply from Aamjiwnaang Chief Janelle Nahmabin that some have characterized as unprofessional and aggressive.
