Vancouver police say a three-year-old boy who was the subject of an Amber Alert late Monday was found near Calgary on Tuesday morning.
Police believed the child was taken from B.C. Children's Hospital in Vancouver.
A statement says the three-year-old is now receiving care and his mother has been arrested after they were both found near Calgary.
The Amber Alert was cancelled shortly after 6 a.m. PT.
In a statement late Monday, police said the boy was receiving treatment for a medical condition at B.C. Children's Hospital and they were concerned for his health and safety.

Sarnia City Council will hold a special meeting Tuesday morning to respond to social media comments made by Coun. Bill Dennis, who criticized city spending on a new mural by Indigenous artist Kennady Osborne as “virtue signalling by woke politicians” — then made a series of comments in response to a reply from Aamjiwnaang Chief Janelle Nahmabin that some have characterized as unprofessional and aggressive.
