Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday unveiled the statue of Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at the Pune Municipal Corporation office.

The statue is approximately 9.5 feet tall and made of 1,850 kg of gunmetal.

According to an official, the prime minister will also inaugurate the Pune metro rail project during his visit to Pune.
