PM Modi's Kochi roadshow draws hundreds of BJP supporters ahead of a major project inauguration worth ₹10,800 crore.
Hundreds of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he participated in a roadshow at Kaloor in Kochi, Kerala, on Wednesday (March 11, 2026).
The event was held ahead of the inauguration of the developmental projects worth around ₹10,800 crore by Mr. Modi at Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kaloor.
Mr. Modi waved at party workers and supporters as he travelled in an open vehicle from near the entrance of the stadium to the venue of the inauguration of the developmental projects around 1.30 p.m.
The roadshow, held to bolster party workers ahead of the forthcoming Assembly elections in Kerala, was attended by hundreds of party workers from Ernakulam and nearby districts, and elsewhere. They had lined up behind the barricades put up by the police and the security personnel.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar, president of BJP’s Kerala unit, and Sabu Jacob, chief co-ordinator of Twenty20 who had joined the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) recently were among those who acompanied Mr. Modi during the roadshow.
The party workers had turned up early at the stadium premises to welcome the Prime Minister. The cheering and sloganeering reached a feverish pitch as the vehicle carrying him moved forward. The roadshow ended within a few minutes in view of the short distance from the entrance of the stadium to the venue of the inauguration of the developmental projects.
