Scientists are studying a farmer's claim in Belgium that different types of music are affecting the behavior of his pigs — they wag their tails and even dance at upbeat music, while they calm down with lullabies.
"Jolly dance songs are the biggest hits," the farmer said about his pigs' preferences. The farmer's experience is in line with existing knowledge about the effects of sounds in general on animals.
