Picture of TMC leader holding gun goes viral ahead of Mamata Banerjee's Malda visit

A controversy has erupted after a Trinamool leader from Malda was seen holding a gun. TMC's Malda district general secretary Krishnendu Narayan Choudhury said the party is calling for an investigation.

On a day when Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee is slated to start her administrative meeting in Malda and Murshidabad, a picture of Mrinalini Mandal Maity, a senior leader of TMC's Mahila Mandal in Malda district and chairman of Old Malda Panchayat Samiti, holding an automatic pistol inside BDO office has gone viral.

Even though a war of words broke out between TMC and BJP, both parties have called for an investigation in the matter.
