Critics accused the president of “pettiness” and “immaturity."
Donald Trump was mockingly branded a “petulant child” by critics on social media after withdrawing an invitation for Canada to join his so-called “Board of Peace.”
The president revoked the offer after Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney used a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos to essentially criticise powerful nations for bullying smaller ones.
“Please let this letter serve to represent that the Board of Peace is withdrawing its invitation to you regarding Canada’s joining what will be the most prestigious Board of Leaders ever assembled, at any time,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.”
Critics accused Trump of “pettiness” and “immaturity” and likened the move to “a preteen angrily uninviting someone from what they insist will be the party of the year.”
