
GOP Attack Post Crucifies Senate Primary Winner James Talarico For Religious Views

Republicans wasted no time in stirring up conservative outrage as Talarico earned a primary victory in Texas over Jasmine Crockett.
A Republican group resurfaced James Talarico’s stance on God Tuesday as the Texas Democrat defeated Rep. Jasmine Crockett in a Senate primary.
“Meet James Talarico, Texas’ Democrat nominee for U.S. Senate,” wrote the X account Senate Republicans, whose NRSC mission is to keep the GOP majority in the upper chamber. “He thinks ‘God is nonbinary.’ ”
A clip with the text shows Talarico advocating for transgender rights.
“God is both masculine and feminine and everything in between,” he said. “God is nonbinary.”
The posted clip attempted to trigger some conservatives who might adhere to a strict interpretation of the biblical phrase, “So God created man in his own image” or cite the repetition of “He” and “Father” in scripture to describe God.
