Pedestrian critically injured in Old South Wednesday night

A pedestrian is clinging to life in hospital after being struck by a vehicle in London's Old South neighbourhood Wednesday night.
The collision occurred on Wharncliffe Road near Elmwood Avenue at around 10:20 p.m., according to London police.
A male pedestrian was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
"All involved persons remained at the scene," police said in a statement.
Wharncliffe Road was closed while officers investigated but has since reopened.
The incident has been reassigned to the Traffic Management Unit.
