CBC
Schools in Prince Edward Island will dismiss students two hours early Monday afternoon due to weather conditions.
The Public Schools Branch and the French-language school board announced the early dismissal Monday morning.
All Air Canada flights in and out of Charlottetown have also been cancelled for the day.
Environment Canada has issued yellow snowfall warnings in Kings and Queens counties, with a special weather statement in effect in Prince County.
Islanders can expect about 5 to 10 cm of snow during the day Monday, followed by another 10 to 15 cm overnight Tuesday, said CBC meteorologist Tina Simpkin.
"This snowfall — it's not going to be the heavy snowfall like we experienced a week ago. But it's going to accumulate over time and it will continue," she said.
"There will be snow and blowing snow, reducing the visibility. Hunker down for this one if you can."
