P.E.I. holds COVID-19 pandemic briefing
CBC
P.E.I. Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Heather Morrison will present a briefing on the COVID-19 pandemic Tuesday.
The briefing is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. AT. You can watch the briefing live here or on the CBC P.E.I. Facebook page.
P.E.I. has regular biweekly briefings on Tuesday, but its last briefing was just a week ago. Late last week, a COVID-19 cluster in western P.E.I. bumped up the number of cases on the Island into double digits for the first time in weeks.
The Chief Public Health Office says the cluster does not qualify as an outbreak.
The province currently has 22 active cases, and has seen a total of 349.

Sarnia City Council will hold a special meeting Tuesday morning to respond to social media comments made by Coun. Bill Dennis, who criticized city spending on a new mural by Indigenous artist Kennady Osborne as “virtue signalling by woke politicians” — then made a series of comments in response to a reply from Aamjiwnaang Chief Janelle Nahmabin that some have characterized as unprofessional and aggressive.
