Over 1 lakh visitors attend Chamber Trade Fair with lucky draws, special prizes, and diverse product displays.
Over one lakh people visited the Chamber Trade Fair, which concluded at the Tamkum Convention Centre here on Sunday.
Lok Sabha MP Su Venkatesan and MLA M. Boominathan presided over the valedictory function and presented special prizes to visitors following a lucky draw.
Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry president N Jegatheesan said that thousands of people from far and near visited the fair over the last five days. There were over 200 stalls in which participants from other States too displayed their products. Apart from tiny and small traders, MSME institutions too participated.
The highlight of the fair was the participation by Self-Help-Groups, who showcased their products that matched the quality of private sectors. In fact, the SHGs not only reported good sales, but also gained maximum visibility during the fair, he added.
Fair chairman SP Varadarajan said that every day, a lucky draw was held at 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 p.m. at the venue and six prizes at each draw totalling 30 prizes were given to the visitors. On the final day, a mega bumper prize, including two-wheelers and home appliances, were presented.
Secretary S. Sridhar and other senior members from the Chamber of Commerce participated in the fair.
