Josh Safdie broke a promise he made to himself. He continues to break it to this day.
That’s because he couldn’t turn his back on the team he loves, and it’s shaped a core part of his identity.
Safdie on Thursday officially earned his first Academy Award nomination for Best Director, with his latest movie “Marty Supreme” also earning an Oscar nomination for Best Picture — among the nine nominations for the popular film.
He is currently one of the fastest-rising stars in show business. He is also a massive Knicks fan.
