
Oregon library receives overdue book returned decades after it was checked out

The Deschutes Public Library District in Bend, Oregon received a book that was checked out nearly 45 years ago that was accompanied with a note and a check for $20.
"We received a package that included this 1974 copy of ‘The Hockey Trick’ along with a sweet note, explaining that the book had been checked out roughly 45 years ago," the library posted on Facebook. "It was like getting a literary time capsule!" Greg Wehner is a breaking news reporter for Fox News Digital.
Tina Walker Davis, the communications supervisor for the Deschutes Public Library District told Fox News Digital on Tuesday that the book was returned a little while back.
