Continuing her earlier allegations that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) was silent on the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP), BRS MLC K Kavitha said she had opposed the party’s proposal to merge with the BJP when she was in jail.
In an informal chat with reporters in Hyderabad on Thursday (May 29, 2025), she said the proposal had come when she was in the jail in the Delhi Liquor policy case, but she had opposed it saying she was ready to spend more time in the jail but not agree to the merger of BRS with the BJP.
