David Miller helped South Africa chase down a mammoth target of 212 runs against India in the first T20I of the five-match series.

David Miller once again came good for the cause in the first T20I vs India at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi playing a blistering 64* off just 31 balls while his teammates struggled in a tricky surface. Miller hit four boundaries and five sixes in the course of his innings and chased down the 126 runs remaining in the final 10 overs of the game. Several records were broken on the day and Miller remained at the heart of it. He bisected the field when necessary or just chose to hit a lofted one above the fielder in a breathtaking innings that reminded the Miller of the past.

Speaking after the game, the player of the match spoke about how he turned things around after a massive dip to his promising career which almost wiped him off the map in terms of top finishers in the world.

"Obviosuly a lot of hard work has gone in over the last few years understanding my game a lot better." Miller said after the game.

The left hander and his partner Rassie van der Dussen chased down a record 126 runs remaining in the last 10 overs.

"You need two players playing a part while chasing. Rassie played phenomenally well at the back end with some big overs. Chuffed with the result. Just try and hang in there was the chat (With Rassie). He was trying to go but he wasn't getting it. Just about limiting dot balls and waiting for that loose ball," Miller talked about how the chase panned out.

While playing in the IPL, Miller has spoken about the clarity of the role and the belief Gujarat Titans showed in him, something that helped him become one of the top players of the tournament.

"Belief (one thing that has transformed his career). Understanding winning more games and more consistency gives you more belief. I am pretty open to bat anywhere. Just want to make a difference," Miller reiterated his belief.
