One injured after Lankan Navy officials open fire at Tamil Nadu fishermen, FIR lodged

An FIR has been registered against Sri Lankan Navy personnel in Tamil Nadu over a complaint by local fishermen who alleged that the officers opened fire on them without any warning. The FIR states that 10 fishermen from Nagapattinam, led by Muruganandham, had ventured into the sea and were fishing 40 nautical miles from the coast since July 29.
