One dead after shooting in Mississauga, Peel police say

Peel police are investigating after a Friday night shooting in Mississauga left one person dead, police said.
The shooting happened near Goreway Drive and Morning Star Drive just before 8 p.m. on Friday, according to a social media post from Peel Regional Police (PRP) Saturday morning.
The victim was pronounced dead on the scene, police said on social media.
PRP has an increased presence in the area and the PRP homicide unit is investigating the incident, according to the post.
