The Department of Labor fined a North Carolina Chick-fil-A after finding it paid some workers in meal vouchers instead of wages and violated multiple child labor laws.
Federal regulations surrounding child labor prohibit employed minors to perform hazardous jobs.
Tasks considered to be hazardous include driving a motor vehicle, meat packing or processing, operating power-driven machines, and roofing work.
