Zimbabwe defeated Australia in the third match of their ODI series, a historic occasion in the history of their cricket. This was the first time that Zimbabwe won on Australian soil, marking a new chapter in their history.

Zimbabwe won a historic game vs Australia in the third and final ODI game of the three-match series. This was the first ever win for Zimbabwe in the Australian soil, and the team marked a new journey in their cricketing history.

The Regis Chakabva-led team first bundled out the home side for just 141 runs, then chased the target down in just 39 overs, with three wickets remaining. All rounder Ryan Burl picked five wickets from his three overs, to affect the collapse in the Australian batting line-up.

Speaking after the game Burl said that they would be looking forward to coming back to Australia for the T20 World Cup and there could not have been any better preparation that beating Australia.

"Massively important going out to bat there, I got 10 of the 20 runs and tried to do my job. We'll take the confidence from the win, we come back here for the T20 World Cup, no better preparation than beating Australia," Burl said in the post match interaction after the match.

Burl has previously done well against India as well, scoring 39* in the first match in the ODI series. The player had burst onto the scene after a viral tweeted where he asked for sponsorships to fix his shoes.

Zimbabwe will be hoping to create an impact when they return to the Australian shores. The team has rocked the Australian top order more often than not and would hope to take away the learnings from this game.
