‘NKR 21’: Sohail Khan to make Telugu debut with Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s next
There’s a new baddie in town, straight from Bollywood! Actor, director, writer and producer Sohail Khan is the latest to join the cast of Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s next, tentatively titled NKR 21.
The makers of the film took to social media to welcome him to Telugu cinema with a first-look poster and confirmed that he is playing the antagonist in the film. The poster was released on the occasion of the actor’s birthday.
Sohail is the son of veteran screenwriter Salim Khan and brother of actors Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan. Interestingly, with Sohail’s inclusion on NKR 21, all three actors have starred in Telugu films; Salman recently made a cameo appearance in Chiranjeevi’s Godfather, Arbaaz made his Telugu debut with Chiranjeevi’s Jai Chiranjeeva in 2005 and was recently seen in Shivam Bhaje.
Directed by Pradeep Chilukuri, NKR 21 also stars Vijayashanthi, Saiee Manjrekar, and Srikanth. The film marks Vijayashanthi’s return to acting after Mahesh Babu’s 2020 film Sarileru Neekevvaru which was her comeback to cinema after 13 years.
Ashok Vardhan Muppa and Sunil Balusu produce the film under the banners Ashoka Creations and NTR Arts and its technical team consists of C Ram Prasad as the cinematographer, Ajaneesh Loknath as the music composer and Thammiraju as the editor.
