NIA files chargesheet against duo in Nimtita railway station blast case

The NIA has filed a chargesheet against two persons -- Sahidul Islam and Abu Samad -- in connection with the blast in Murshidabad's Nimtita railway station in which former West Bengal minister Jakir Hossain was injured.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday filed a charge sheet against two accused in connection with the blast in Murshidabad's Nimtita railway station in which former West Bengal minister Jakir Hossain and over 22 others were severely injured. In the chargesheet, accused Sahidul Islam (35) and Abu Samad (37) have been charged under sections 16,18,30 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, sections 3 and 4 of the Explosives Substance Act and sections 120B, 201, 326 and 307 of the Indian Penal Code.
