A new Hubble Space Telescope image shows a partial view of the globular star cluster Messier 55 about 20,000 light-years away. M55 was first spotted in 1752.
It is difficult to observe in non-optimal conditions – even when it was first spotted in 1752 by French astronomer Charles Messier. Julia Musto is a reporter for Fox News and Fox Business Digital.
It took until 1778 for him to catalog M55.
