Doha: The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) National Coordination Council Qatar successfully held its 11th Convention in Doha, electing a new executive committee for the 2025–2027 term.
The event, held with grandeur and wide participation, saw Padam Giri elected unopposed as President, leading a 36-member executive team.
The convention, which takes place every two years, serves as a platform for the Nepali diaspora in Qatar to renew leadership and strengthen community engagement.
The newly elected committee was sworn in by Election Commissioner Kamalni Guragain, who administered the oath of office and confidentiality.
Padam Giri will lead the council alongside First Vice President: Roshan Aryal; Second Vice President: Subash Thapa; Third Vice President: Lila Rai; Women Vice President: Ram Kumari Tamang; Youth Vice President: Tank Bahadur BK; General Secretary: Shiva Bhujel; Treasurer: Prem Kumar Basnet; Assistant Treasurer: Mohammad Azad Mansur; Secretaries: Khemraj Subedi, Isilal Pandit, Shankarman Rai; Women Coordinator: Apsana Miya; and Youth Coordinator: Chham Bahadur Chand.
