Neighbours would feel safer if assured Afghan territory isn't used by terrorist groups: India at UNSC

India’s Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador TS Tirumurti, making a statement in his national capacity at the UNSC meeting, said that Afghanistan's neighbours and the region would feel safer if it ensured that the territory isn't used by terrorist groups,

India said that, as a neighbor of Afghanistan, the prevailing situation in the war-ravaged country is of “great concern” to it and hoped that there is an inclusive dispensation which represents all sections of the society. The UN Security Council, meeting under the Indian presidency, held a meeting for the second time in a period of 10 days to discuss the situation in Afghanistan.
