Andhra Pradesh IT Minister promises support to Google Cloud for data city development in Visakhapatnam, focusing on AI applications.
Andhra Pradesh Minister for IT and Electronics Nara Lokesh, on Wednesday (February 5, 2025) promised full cooperation from the State Government to Google Cloud for the development of a data city in Visakhapatnam.
In a meeting with Google Cloud India MD Bikram Singh in New Delhi, Mr. Lokesh said the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (Andhra Pradesh-EDB) was geared up to secure necessary permissions and get land allocated for the facilities.
He asserted that the proposed data city would have the required business ecosystem for start-ups and companies involved in the design of applications in Artificial Intelligence. Mr. Singh appreciated the efforts being made by the Andhra Pradesh Government to achieve digital transformation in tune with the global trends.
