N.B. COVID-19 round-up: Record 99 new cases announced, two more deaths

The province has announced the biggest single-day jump in COVID-19 cases Thursday.
In a news release, Public Health says there are 99 new cases of COVID-19, along with two more deaths.
The two deaths are a person between the ages of 40 and 49 in the Fredericton region, and one between the ages of 60 and 69 in the Edmundston region. The total number of COVID-19-related deaths in the province is now at 59.
The majority of the new cases are in the Moncton and Fredericton regions, with cases in every age group in the Moncton region.
Of the new cases, just over 72 per cent are in patients not fully vaccinated, the province says. It did not share the vaccination status of the people who have died.
There are 40 people hospitalized with COVID, 16 of them in an intensive care unit.
"No one under the age of 19 is currently hospitalized," the release says.
