Murder charges against 6 UP cops as CBI files chargesheet in Kanpur businessman death case 

The CBI pressed murder charges against six UP cops as it filed a chargesheet in the Kanpur businessman Manish Gupta death case on Friday.  

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has charged six Uttar Pradesh policemen with killing Kanpur businessman Manish Gupta while he was inside a hotel room in Gorakhpur, officials said.

On Friday, the federal probe agency filed a chargesheet against the then Senior Inspector Jagat Narayan Singh, three Sub-Inspectors - Akshay Kumar Mishra, Vijay Yadav, Rahul Dubey - Head Constable Kamlesh Singh Yadav and Constable Prashant Kumar Yadav.
