Mumbai: BMC-run hospital launches cleanliness drive after rat biting incident

On Tuesday, officials at BMC-run Rajawadi Hospital in Mumbai's suburban Ghatkopar said a patient was bitten by a rat near his eye. Taking swift action, the hospital authorities on Wednesday launched a cleanliness campaign at the hospital to get rid of the rodent problem.

After medical examination, he was diagnosed with meningitis and liver problems and was put on a ventilator. On Tuesday morning, Srinivasa's relatives noticed blood coming out of his eyes.
