A team of investigators from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday met the family members of deceased Thane businessman Mansukh Hiren. The NIA team, led by a senior officer, reached the Thane residence of Mansukh Hiren at Vikas Palms housing society at around 3 pm. The team left after speaking to Hiren's wife Vimla and his son for around two hours. A Scorpio, with 20 gelatin sticks inside, was found near Antilia, Ambani's high-rise residence in south Mumbai, on February 25. Police said the vehicle was stolen from Airoli-Mulund Bridge on February 18. Other than the gelatin sticks, a threat letter and few number plates were found inside the SUV.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
