MSK Prasad ‘little surprised’ by timing of Virat Kohli’s decision to step down as India T20 captain

Virat Kohli cited workload management as the reason to give up captaincy of the Indian T20I team after the conclusion of the World Cup in UAE in November.
Former national selector MSK Prasad feels stress of the bio-bubble life over the last year probably led to Virat Kohli’s decision of stepping down as India’s T20 captain after the upcoming World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
Kohli cited workload management as the reason to give up T20I captaincy. It remains to be seen who will take over as India's T20I captain after the World Cup but Rohit Sharma is the frontrunner to be his successor.Prasad however, is surprised by the timing of Kohli’s decision to relinquish the post just before a major tournament.
