MS Dhoni's 'spark' remark was misunderstood: N Jagadeesan opens up on CSK captain's comments in IPL 2020

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) wicket-keeper N Jagadeesan believes that MS Dhoni's spark remark was misunderstood by the media and highlighted it was not for the youngsters.

Chennai Super Kings wicketkeeper-batsman N Jagadeesan has opened on his captain MS Dhoni’s 'no spark' comment, saying the legendary cricketer’s remarks were misunderstood. Jagadeesan said that the comment was not for the youngsters as it was meant to uplift the senior players of the squad in the IPL. Dhoni had said the Chennai Super Kings’ youngsters didn’t show enough spark for them to push the senior players out of the team but also confirmed that the younger players will be given a few chances in the coming games. "It's fair enough [the criticism for not playing youngsters], this season we weren't there. Maybe we didn't see as much spark from some of our youngsters. Maybe going forward we bring them in and they play without pressure," MS Dhoni had said.
