Most of Alberta under extreme cold warnings

It's a sea of red that has nothing to do with the Calgary Flames.
Almost all of Alberta was under an extreme cold warning early Tuesday morning, with a wind chill in parts that could make it feel close to –40.
"Extreme cold puts everyone at risk," Environment Canada wrote just before 7:30 a.m. MT.
"Cover up. Frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill. Keep emergency supplies in your vehicle such as extra blankets and jumper cables. If it's too cold for you to stay outside, it's too cold for your pet to stay outside."
The agency said it could get even colder in some northern communities with wind chill values dipping to –50.
P.E.I.'s Public Schools Branch is looking for 50 substitute bus drivers, and it'll be recruiting at three job fairs on Saturday, June 8. The job fairs are located at the Atlantic Superstore in Montague, Royalty Crossing in Charlottetown, and the bus parking lot of Three Oaks Senior High in Summerside. All three run from 9 a.m. until noon. Dave Gillis, the director of transportation and risk management for the Public Schools Branch, said the number of substitute drivers they're hiring isn't unusual. "We are always looking for more. Our drivers tend to have an older demographic," he said.
