More winter weather is hitting the GTA: Here's what to expect

The official start of spring may be just 10 days away, but more messy weather is in the GTA's forecast for Friday.
Environment Canada has issued weather advisories for the whole region.
In Toronto, between four and eight centimetres are expected to fall. Forecasted amounts are slightly higher west of the city, with between 10 and 15 centimetres expected in Peel and Halton.
Snowfall in Toronto is likely to start sometime around noon, Environment Canada says, and continue well into the evening. The City of Toronto said in a media bulletin it is now expecting up to 10 cm of snow accumulation.
Ontario Provincial Police say all express lanes on Highway 401 west are closed for a five-vehicle crash involving three transport trucks and two vehicles near Milton, west of Toronto.
The OPP say there are only minor injuries in the crash but are warning that roads are slick and are asking drivers to be careful and avoid unnecessary travel.
Toronto's Pearson International Airport, meanwhile, is advising travellers to check their flight status before heading to the airport.
The afternoon commute could prove messy for anyone on the roads, with blowing snow possibly creating difficult conditions.
Frustratingly for many Toronto residents, the city is still cleaning up some areas after last Friday's winter storm dumped up to 30 centimetres of snow.
Torontonians have filed some 2,727 complaints to 311 since the March 5 snowfall. Online, many have posted pictures of sidewalks that haven't been cleared since the storm, or thick snow blocking off TTC stops.
"Crews are being dispatched to inspect and clear the areas, as required," the city said in an email statement. The city continued to say those numbers have been declining this winter.
At this point, the city doesn't appear to be seeking any penalties in connection with the snow-clearing work this winter.
"We are confident that our contractors are making every effort possible to adequately deliver winter road operations in an efficient manner," a spokesperson said.
"During a storm and clean up period, our focus is on dealing with any identified safety and accessibility issues as quickly as possible."
