dpa Jakarta More than 100 Rohingya people landed on a beach in Indonesia’s Aceh province in the early hours of Sunday, local media reported.  State news agency Antara reported that the 114 Rohingya arrived at about 2 am on the beach at Alue Buya Pasi village in northern Aceh.Badruddin Yunus, the traditional leader of the local fishing community, said residents have taken the 58 men, 21 women, and 35 children to a temporary shelter at the village. In the same area in late December, Indonesia admitted an estimated 120 Rohingya refugees who had been stranded at sea on a wooden and leaking boat for days.  For years, Rohingya Muslims have taken to boats to escape persecution and violence in Myanmar’s Rakhine state, often drifting toward Aceh on the unseaworthy vessels.
