Monsoon rains lead to waterlogging in Delhi, Gurugram; IMD predicts moderate showers on Thursday

Monsoon rains drenched Delhi and Gurugram on Wednesday, leading to waterlogging in some areas. The IMD has predicted moderate rainfall on Thursday.

For the second consecutive day, monsoon rains drenched Delhi on Wednesday. The light to moderate rainfall in the city resulted in waterlogging, traffic jams and incidents of wall collapse in difference places. 28/07/2021: 12:35 IST; Thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of many places of Delhi, NCR ( Bahadurgarh, Gurugram, Manesar, Faridabad, Ballabhgarh, Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Ghaziabad, Noida, Dadri) Gohana, Gannaur, Sonipat, The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted fresh showers on Thursday and issued an orange alert with the warning of “major traffic disruption on roads, increased chance of vehicle accidents and accumulation of water in low-lying areas”.
