Monsoon likely to reach Delhi around July 10; most-delayed in 15 yrs: IMD

India Meteorological Department said on Monday that monsoon is likely to hit Delhi around July 10, adding that this has been the most delayed arrival of the monsoon season in the city in 15 years.

The Southwest Monsoon will reach Delhi around July 10 this year, making it the most-delayed in the last 15 years, the India Meteorological Department said on Monday. "The monsoon is likely to advance over remaining parts of west Uttar Pradesh, some more parts of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan and Delhi around July 10," the IMD said in a statement.
