For a long time, the Hyderabad pacer was touted as the red ball bowler, but during IPL 2021, before it was indefinitely suspended due to the Covid-19, he has added lethal yorkers in his armoury. The pacer was economical in the death-overs, picked up six wickets in seven games, and went to bowler for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper, Virat Kohli. Former Indian batsman VVS Laxman, who has watched the growth of Siraj from close quarters, believes the pacer has the potential to become a great international cricketer.
