The Mizoram government has written a letter to the Centre alleging that Assam has put in place an 'economic blockade' and shut off important roads that pass through the state.
The Mizoram government has written to the Centre seeking its immediate intervention to lift an economic blockade that it says the Assam government has put in place. This comes two days after violence broke out at the Assam-Mizoram border. Mizoram home secretary Lalbiaksangi on Wednesday wrote to the Union home ministry alleging that National Highway 306 and other roads connecting Mizoram with the rest of the country had been blocked by neighbouring Assam since Monday. National Highway 306 is the main highway for the flow of essential goods into Mizoram, as per the letter.More Related News
