Mitchell Robinson takes big step toward being Knicks’ rim enforcer again
NY Post
Miami’s Duncan Robinson dribbled around a screen that created space and might have driven into the lane — but Karl-Anthony Towns loomed toward the top of the paint.
So he tried his second option, Bam Adebayo rolling off that screen and toward the hoop.
Robinson passed to Adebayo, who came to a stop just inside the free-throw line because Towns jumped onto him and Mitchell Robinson loomed behind.
With nowhere to go, Adebayo tried for a cutting Kel’el Ware, but Robinson’s long arms knocked the ball away for one of the Knicks’ 12 steals on the night.
“When you have two 7-footers out there,” head coach Tom Thibodeau would say later, “if you get by one, you’ve got another waiting at the rim.
“I think that has a huge impact on the game.”

‘Freak of nature: Zion Williamson’s resurgence could pose a Knicks problem versus motivated Pelicans
Zion Williamson is slimmer and healthier for his trip to MSG.

Almost a year to the day after a goaltender interference call against Kyle Palmieri lost the Islanders a game against the Blue Jackets that started their season’s death spiral, they were on the wrong end of another controversial call against those same Blue Jackets that might have had the same effect.

SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.
