MI vs DC: Jasprit Bumrah’s unplayable bouncer too hot to handle for Prithvi Shaw

IPL 2022, MI vs DC: Prithvi Shaw looked good after he scored 24 runs, but a vicious bouncer from fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah sent him packing.
Prithvi Shaw, on Saturday, May 21, made a comeback into the Delhi Capitals (DC) setup after recovering from typhoid. The right-hander replaced Lalit Yadav in the playing XI for the match against the Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium and opened the batting with David Warner, the leading run-scorer for the Capitals in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
DC didn’t get off to a good start as Daniel Sams and Jasprit Bumrah accounted for the crucial scalps of Warner and Mitchell Marsh. Shaw, at the other end, looked good at getting a big score under his belt. He smashed two fours and a six, looking good at a score of 24. But an unplayable delivery from Bumrah led to his downfall in the final over of the powerplay.
Bumrah churned out a well-directed bouncer, angled towards Shaw. The batter found himself in all sorts of tangles and failed to get out of the line of the delivery. Shaw tried to move away from the line of the delivery, but ended up getting a top-edge. Ishan Kishan took a diving catch and the on-field umpire didn’t have any hesitation in raising his finger.
