The opening day game between the Washington Nationals and New York Mets has been postponed after a Nationals player tested positive for COVID-19 earlier in the week, Major League Baseball announced Thursday. The league said the game will not be made up Friday "out of an abundance of caution." It will provide updates when available. The division rivals have a game scheduled for Saturday afternoon. One Nationals player tested positive for COVID-19 and five other members of the organization had to quarantine, general manager Mike Rizzo said Wednesday.Authorities made two gruesome discoveries Tuesday after a Missouri woman walked into a police station and told officers that she fatally shot one of her children and drowned the other, officials said.
