Metroman E Sreedharan announced his decision to end his brief stint as a political leader in Kerala. It was nearly a year ago when Sreedharan wore the political hat, joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the state assembly election.

Announcing the decision on Thursday, Sreedharan said he 'learned his lesson' following the loss in the Kerala assembly election that saw the Left Democratic Front (LDF) coming back to power.
