
Mentally unstable woman held in Chittoor idol desecration incident

Chittoor police have arrested a woman for allegedly vandalising idols of Lord Subramanya Swamy at Bodaguttapalle village in Andhra Pradesh. Addressing a press conference, Senthil Kumar said, "The woman is mentally unstable, and we have sufficient proof confirming her involvement." He requested everyone to maintain peace and harmony and assured that police would act firmly against those trying to vitiate the atmosphere.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
