Meghan Markle recently attended an event in an off-shoulder bodysuit. It reminded us of Princess Diana, who once wore a similar gown for a photoshoot.

Meghan Markle made a strong sartorial statement as she attended the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games in The Hague, Netherlands with her husband, Prince Harry. She was dressed to impress in an ivory-hued off-shoulder bodysuit for the event. However, her outfit reminded us of Princess Diana’s iconic portrait by Mario Testino.

Meghan Markle opted for an off-shoulder bodysuit from the label Khaite. It featured drape detail and a plunging neckline and a soft knot on the front. The duchess paired it with a well-tailored pair of pants. As for the accessories, she opted for an elegant and delicate golden choker, simplistic stud earrings, diamond earrings and statement rings. As for her glam, she rocked subtle and natural-looking makeup. She tied her hair in a bun with two curls framing her face.

Meghan’s look, particularly her off-shoulder bodysuit, instantly took us back to Princess Diana’s portrait in which she posed in a striking off-shoulder gown by Catherine Walker. The ivory gown also featured drape detail and a knot on the front. This photograph was taken five months before her death.

The similarities between Princess Diana’s gown and Meghan Markle’s bodysuit were truly striking. It appears Meghan Markle paid a sweet fashion tribute to her with this look.
