Medical research on cellphone use says chatting for this amount of time per week can raise blood pressure risk
Fox News
A new study published in European Heart Journal has found that even a very small amount of time spent each week talking on cellphones can raise people's risk of high blood pressure.
Those who spent just 30 minutes a week talking — even hands-free — on their cellphones were 12% more prone to hypertension. Overall, mobile phone users had a 7% higher risk than non-users. Maureen Mackey is managing editor of lifestyle for Fox News Digital.
And just six hours a week of chatting on a cellphone raised the risk to 25%, the same source said.
