Doha, Qatar: As part of its ongoing efforts to equip the government sector with the latest digital capabilities, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) announced the renewal of its framework agreement with Google Cloud, on the sidelines of MWC25 Doha.
The renewed agreement enables government entities to leverage secure cloud solutions, generative AI technologies, and advanced data analytics powered by Google Cloud’s local region in Doha—enhancing operational efficiency and elevating public service delivery.
The agreement was signed by Sami Mohammed Al Shammari, Assistant Undersecretary for Infrastructure and Operations Affairs at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and Ghassan Kosta, Regional General Manager, Google Cloud Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and Iraq.
Under the renewal, government entities will continue to benefit from innovative, secure, and scalable Google Cloud services, with a particular focus on the future of public services through generative AI and advanced data solutions.
In this context, Sami Mohammed Al Shammari, Assistant Undersecretary for Infrastructure and Operations Affairs, stated: “Our reinforced collaboration with Google Cloud has been instrumental in advancing Qatar’s digital landscape. Today, I am pleased to announce the renewal of this critical framework agreement at MWC25 Doha. This action is a clear testament to our successful partnership and Google Cloud’s ongoing, tangible contributions to our nation’s technological advancement.
