Matthew Hayden on Virat Kohli and Babar Azam: They are opposites the way I look at it

Matthew Hayden said that while Babar Azam is "very stable" and "not overly flamboyant", Virat Kohli is "very passionate, and very boisterous on the field". He also said that Babar is still young as a captain but is a quick learner.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam and Virat Kohli, who stepped down as India's T20I captain recently, are "opposites" in how they lead their sides, former Australia batsman Matthew Hayden has said. Hayden, who was part of the Pakistan coaching setup in the T20 World Cup, said while Babar tends to calm, Kohli more "boisterous" and "passionate".

Hayden said that Babar, 27, remains young compared to the 33-year-old Kohli and is yet to achieve as much as his India counterpart but he is a quick learner.
