An 11-foot, 1,264 pounds great white shark pinged off of Florida's Gulf Coast on Monday ahead of spring break for college student's across America.

"Over the past two seasons, Maple has spent much of her winter in the Gulf of Mexico," OCEARCH wrote on its Facebook page.
